Who is eligable?
This programme is mandatory for drivers currently holding a full valid car licence coming from a Country without a licence exchange agreement with Ireland. You must establish eligibility by submitting the relevant documentation to the NDLS/RSA driver licencing section. Reduced EDT candidates have to complete the driver theory test then apply for a learner driving permit. On completion of the reduced EDT syllabus with edtcarlessons.ie you can then apply to be exempted from the usual 6 months waiting period before taking the Irish driving test.
